SCIENCE DEPARTMENT - SECONDARY

Introduction :

Science Department is one of the key departments in our school which has a team of specialist teachers in three disciplines viz; Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Scientific investigation is fully embedded in the teaching in our school as we strive to bring science to life with creative and innovative lessons. In this department students are always in pursuit of the exploring new things and understanding theoretical concepts with the help of experiments in labs. Students are consistently encouraged to develop their understanding of science in a variety of ways.

ACTIVITIES :

• Inter house science quiz
• Inter house power point presentation
• Science exhibition in alternate year
• Scientific tour of students like to UCOST Dehradun, Chilla power house etc.
• Industrial tour of students to help them explore the practical aspect
• Models making by students in collaboration with CONSTRUKT on regular basis in their class rooms

VISION:

•   To ensure availability of equipments in the labs to keep pace with new technological developments and the word of science
•   Conduction of more activities like scientific role play etc.
•   Introduction of science to students behind modern electronic gadgets in play with science labs
•   Development of understanding of students beyond their routine curriculum
•  Scientific excursion of students to major organizations of India like ISRO, VSSC, SDSC etc. as well as beyond the boundaries of India too like NASA
